Boyzone star Shane Lynch left his castmates in tears following his early departure from the BBC collection Pilgrimage: The Highway By Portugal on Friday evening.
The Dubliner singer took half within the BBC Two present, through which celebrities of various religions and beliefs participate in a modern-day pilgrimage.
Shane was joined by Su Pollard, Millie Knight, Vicky Pattison, Bobby Seagull, Rita Simons and Nabil Abdulrashid as they traveled alongside Portugal’s Northern Solution to attain the shrine within the metropolis of Fatima.

After reaching the top of the journey forward of a candlelight procession, Vicky was surprised to obtain a voice message from Shane saying he had left and was on his method residence.
He stated: “This journey has been so unbelievable, I’ve liked each minute of it and thanks for being part of it.
“I’ve come to the top of my journey and I’m very full and happy with what I’ve finished.”
The celebrities have been surprised and saddened by the information, with Su saying she felt “actually upset” as she struggled to include her feelings.
Vicky stated Shane’s departure was such a disgrace that Millie began crying: “It was fairly arduous to listen to Shane depart. He actually was a significant character in our group.
“I’ve by no means met anybody as real, beneficiant, caring and attentive as Shane and since he was so essential to our group it will have meant to the world that all of us made it to the sanctuary collectively as a result of we have been via this complete journey made. collectively.”
Shane beforehand revealed that he left the BBC present early as a result of he has a phobia of his candles, so he did not need to attend the candlelight procession.
However he was at peace together with his choice as a result of he actually loved the journey and did not need to give himself a “dangerous expertise” on the finish.
The boy band star added that leaving the present was “emotional” as a result of he could not say goodbye to the opposite celebrities who have been touring with him.
