The Smile hitmaker is gearing up to star in a revival of the Olivier Award-winning play The Pillowman, and when she announced tickets are on sale, she shared a photo of her Stranger Things star partner sprawled on the floor next to one of the play’s posters.
Visible on the floor next to David, 47, was a cigarette butt and what appeared to be chewing gum, but a bit of street food didn’t stop the actor from showing some support to his 37-year-old wife.
In November, it was confirmed that Lily would be returning to London’s West End to star in Martin McDonagh’s play about a police state.
The mother of two takes on the role of main character Katurian, a writer who is arrested for suspicion of her gruesome short stories.
Lily, who is the first woman to play the partpreviously said of the opportunity, “I can’t wait to bring it to life on stage every night and let the audience experience it.”
British-Irish playwright Martin added, “With so many private freedoms beneath assault from governments and religions all over the world, I feel now is an ideal time to stage this play.”
Go to Twitter after the information that she could be again on stage within the capital, hit parade Lily ranted excitedly: “GUYS! I am doing one other play!!!!! Past excited to be working with all of the geniuses to convey this to life. Martin McDonagh, Matthew Dunster and Steve Pemberton cannot wait to get to work with these guys.”
Lily, who married David in Las Vegas in 2020, first bowed in 2:22 – A Ghost Story alongside Encanto’s Stephanie Beatriz and Inbetweeners actor James Buckley on the Noel Coward Theater in August 2021.
