Florence Pugh can act, sing, cook… and it turns out she’s also somewhat of a bendy Wendy.
The Little Women actress has amazed fans with her contortionist skills, which she describes as her ‘party trick’ – and we can only imagine these go down a treat at any party.
Florence, 27, is not only able to bend over backwards and do the crab, before getting herself back up, but she can also do some interesting things with a stick.
In a video filmed for Vanity Fair, the Don’t Worry Darling lead donned a leotard and leg warmers as she manoeuvred a long stick around her body, without ever letting go.
She began by stepping over the pole and bringing it behind her back, before doing the same again and twisting her limbs in all different directions as the stick moved between her legs and head.
Honestly, it was a sight to behold and if a Greatest Showman sequel ever happens, we know she’d be the perfect casting for one of the circus acts!
Explaining the trick to viewers, Florence offered a tutorial – although something tells us this won’t be one we’ll be able to follow anytime soon.
‘It doesn’t really have a name, but if ever you’ve got a broom and you’re bored, have some fun!’, she laughed.
‘I think I saw someone do it once on, like, a contortionist show, or something. And the thing is that if you do it any other way, you can’t get your shoulders, so you have to do it with your palms facing up in order for your shoulder blades to click in place.’
Thanks for that, Florence. We’ll take it on board.
She also told the fashion publication that the last time she did the trick in public, it didn’t actually go so well.
‘It [the stick] actually had a broom on the end but as I manoeuvred it, I ended up pushing my skirt over my head and I mooned everyone! I don’t take this to, like, events. Like, “Hey, you got a stick? I need to impress some people in this room!” No. Maybe I should do.’
Naturally, the internet was left flabbergasted by Flo’s secret talents.
Sharing the video, one fan tweeted: ‘there’s nothing florence pugh can’t do’.
‘She just did something physically impossible’, another tweeted.
‘is she insane what the hell’, exclaimed another.
One individual joked that the party trick looked like a piece of cake, so they attempted to follow Florence’s tutorial but ‘nearly broke my wrist’.
The impressive video is part of Vanity Fair’s 29th annual Hollywood issue, which features Florence alongside Selena Gomez, Austin Butler, Jonathan Majors and Ana de Armas.
