The Broadway Revival of Sweeney Todd is formally open!
Jose Groban And Annaleigh Ashford on the pink carpet opening evening on Sunday (March 26) on the Lunt-Fontanne Theater in New York Metropolis.
They have been joined by co-stars Jordan Fisher, Holes Matarazzo, Ruthie Ann Miles, Mary Bilbao, Nicholas Christopher, Jamie JacksonAnd John Rapson.
Here is the synopsis, through Playbill: “After 15 years in exile, Sweeney Todd, a disturbing man with a mysterious previous, arrives in a darkish and gritty London hungry for revenge in opposition to the choose who destroyed his life. Todd joins forces with Mrs. Lovett, the unhinged proprietor of a bankrupt pie store, and collectively they develop a chilling plot for revenge. When the lights exit and the curtain goes up, you do not dare look away.”
