Sparks first fly between Priyanka and Nick at Vanity Fair’s Oscars after-party in 2017. In an interview with Vogue, Nick revealed he put on the moves when he noticed Priyanka in her black sequined Michael Kors gown. But at this point in time, they’d already been texting each other.
But first, let’s rewind a bit, shall we? “It was Nick who sent the first message,” said Priyanka in the Vogue interview. After watching the actor’s show Quantico, Nick reached out to her on Twitter (!!), suggesting the two go on a date. “I’m hearing from a few mutual friends that we should meet,” he recalled writing.
It was then that Priyanka gave her future husband her number, and the two soon began a texting relationship, which the singer described as “friendly with an eye toward flirtation.” Oop, okay then!
