Embellished denim has a slightly chequered past in the fashion world – unless you’re a fan of the rodeo trend, it’s likely never been on your radar. But this season’s iterations are more refined: think a subtle smattering of rhinestones or diamanté, than an out-and-out sequin fest. How to style them? It’s key to keep things subtle: let the jeans do all the talking and pair with a dark knit on top, or a white shirt, or a navy camisole for evening. As for footwear, go with a pair of the season’s bow kitten heels, or black ballet flats.
