Rooster & Spinach Lasagna

Make this together with your leftover fried hen. It serves 6 individuals and may be very wealthy, so that you solely want a inexperienced salad. You’ll want to season all parts individually.
Wine suggestion: We’re massive followers of Chardonnay, particularly judiciously aged and dealt with, no matter the place they’re grown. Tonight a hidden gem from Burgundy, the Patrick Javillier Bourgogne Côte d’Or Cuvée des Forgets grown on clay close to Meursault. Fairly robust and toasty with yellow and purple apples poking by, plus layers of nuts. Beneficiant and meaty with a recent, vibrant core that helps stability the richness of the dish.
Lasagna with hen and spinach – for six to eight individuals
- 40g butter
- 2 giant garlic cloves, minced
- 100 g mushrooms, finely chopped
- 3 tablespoons of flour
- 600 ml of milk
- 100 grams of cream cheese
- 50 g grated Parmesan cheese
- 150 g child spinach
- 1 giant egg
- 250 grams of ricotta cheese
- 1 tbsp finely chopped flat parsley
- no-cook lasagna sheets, about 8
- 400 g cooked hen, lower into bite-sized items
- 200 g grated mozzarella cheese
Soften the butter in a pan and add the garlic and mushrooms. Season to style and simmer for a couple of minutes or till the mushrooms are gentle.
Stir within the flour and prepare dinner for one more minute, then step by step add the milk. Season generously, deliver to a boil, cut back warmth and prepare dinner for a couple of minutes till thickened. Stir in cream cheese and half the Parmesan, take away from warmth and stir in spinach till wilted.
Beat the egg, ricotta and parsley collectively in a bowl and season generously.
Spoon 1 / 4 of the sauce into a big, deep, rectangular dish. Cowl with lasagne sheets. Add a 3rd of the ricotta combine, then a 3rd of the hen, a 3rd of the mozzarella and a bit of little bit of Parmesan cheese. Repeat these layers two extra occasions and end with a layer of lasagna sheets and the final sauce and remaining Parmesan cheese.
Bake for 25 minutes, till bubbly and browned. Permit to settle earlier than chopping into squares and serving with salad.
