Railway staff are set to strike once more throughout the nation subsequent month after talks to resolve the long-running dispute over wages, job safety and dealing situations broke down final week.
The Rail, Maritime and Transport Union (RMT) introduced nationwide strikes by prepare operators on March 16, adopted by strikes on March 18, March 30 and April 1.
Members of the union who work for Community Rail may also depart on March 16.
The RMT, which represents 40,000 Community Rail workers and 14 prepare operators, final week rejected a wage deal value 9 per cent over two years as a result of it didn’t meet members’ wants for pay, job safety or advantages.
