Husband and spouse design duo Shannon and Patrick Cian of Cian Design describe their signature model – honeyed wooden tones and creamy white – as quietly trendy. Understated but heat, it is a look that blends gracefully with historic areas, comparable to their shoppers’ late-1800s farmhouse nestled in an equestrian surroundings northwest of Toronto. “When it got here time to brighten their dwelling for Christmas, pure winter parts, comparable to cedar branches and eucalyptus, got here to thoughts,” says Shannon. Nothing in the home is flashy or visually busy, not even the Christmas decorations. “All Christmas decorations are pure. Christmastime is craft time, so each Shannon and Darlene enlisted their children to get the job executed! “Darlene’s vacation flower packages are a lot enjoyable, even the youngsters love making them,” says Shannon, seated with son Ozzy (pictured left). They’re joined by Darlene and her son JD (pictured proper). “To create sufficient area for an eat-in kitchen, we added a wicker couch and oval desk,” says Shannon, who employed an area carpenter to custom-build the spacious plinth desk. “The environment in the main bedroom is gentle and monochromatic,” says Shannon.
