The stars are back on the red carpet, but no one shines as bright as the one and only Oprah. The icon, whose movie musical adaptation of The Color Purple comes out this month, gave her purple sequined dress a run for its money with her super shiny half-ponytail — a style so glossy, I could probably see my reflection in it.
Oprah attended the 2023 Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles wearing her hair in a fun, party-ready half-ponytail alongside the aforementioned glimmering dress, a look created by her go-to hairstylist Nicole Mangrum. A portion of Oprah’s dark hair was pulled up right at the crown of her head for height and volume, then tied into a half ponytail with the rest of her hair styled in loose curls from root to tip; a small piece of hair was wrapped around the hair band to disguise it. Ribbons of caramel brunette highlights added depth and eye-catching dimension, catching the light in the most beautiful way. Oprah wore a few curls brushed over her shoulders and the rest down her back as she posed on the carpet, hugged the Color Purple cast and snapped pics with her bestie Gayle King.
