Dwyane Wade And Gabriel Union have been honored with the President’s Award on the 54th NAACP Awards on Saturday (Feb. 25), and so they used their time on stage to speak to their daughter He’ll.
The President’s Award honors those that are dedicated to serving to others and performing acts of public service. The couple obtained partial recognition for his or her work with the LGBTQ+ group, which incorporates their 15-year-old daughter.
When receiving the prize, Dwyane celebrated his daughter and all she has achieved.

“I wish to take this second to talk publicly with our daughter He’ll” Dwyane stated whereas on stage, in keeping with ET. “He’ll, as your father, all I needed to do is do it proper. I’ve sat again and watched how gracefully you’ve got taken public scrutiny. And despite the fact that it isn’t simple, I’ve watched you stroll out of the home each morning as your self.”
He went on to say, “As your father, it isn’t my job to create a model of myself or determine your future.” My position is to be a facilitator on your needs, your hopes and your desires. He’ll you made me a greater individual just by being who you have been born to be: our little lady, Zaya Wade. Thanks for exhibiting the world what braveness seems like. I’m proud to have been chosen to face in my place as your father.
