How do Jessie and Will proceed following the drama of Casa Amor? (Picture: ITV/Shutterstock)

The ninth season of Love Island has served up some winter sun – and plenty of stormy moments.

From Harry and Shaq’s heated argument to a dramatic Casa Amor stick or twist Winter Love Island 2023 delivers us the heat we’ve come to expect from the ITV dating show.

Last night, Jessie wasn’t sure she could trust Will, and she tried to get to the bottom of what he’d been up to at Casa Amor.

We can’t wait to see what happens next.

But while we’re used to getting our daily dose of Love Island while the series is on, does that mean a Saturday night fix of the show is on the cards?

Here’s what you need to know…

Can Love Island be seen tonight?

The show has never aired on a Saturday night, but is on every other night of the week.

Fans will instead be treated to the weekly highlights show, Love Island: Unseen Bits, from 9pm to 10:05pm on ITV2.

There is no new episode on Saturday, as the islanders get a day off from filming where they can leave the villa for the cleaners to enter.

2017 winner Kem Cetinay said on This Morning: ‘They give you the day off. You get one day off a week. What happens is they get a day to clean the villa, and you take off your microphones, and normally we go to the beach.’

Kem added, “So what happens is when you turn off your mic you don’t get to talk about anything related to the show, you have to talk about family life.”

“You’re being watched by the producers because they don’t want you to talk about what’s going on. They’re very careful what you talk about because they want to keep it for everyone at home to see.”

However, season five islander Amy Hart told Closer Online, “Saturday is not a day off. We don’t have days off, we have our microphones with us all the time.

“Every day I was there I was recorded and filmed.”

When does Love Island return?

Fans will have to wait until Sunday night to see more action from the Love Island villa.

This is followed by the weekly spin-off show Love Island: Aftersun, which airs on ITV2 at 10pm.

Love Island: Unseen Bits airs on ITV2 at 9pm on Saturday, with the main show returning at 9pm on Sunday.
