Love Island never fails to surprise with its twists and turns, but we are set to see a brutal dumping take place very soon.

With Casa Amor causing plenty of drama as new contestants try to tempt their way into the villa, things could be shaken up even more tonight.

As host Maya Jama returns to set, the vacation will come to an end for many.

On Wednesday night’s episode it’s believed that nine Islanders will be dumped and sent packing from South Africa.

When the two villas are brought back together by Maya, 28, the biggest cull in the history of the show is set to play out after the original cast each decide if they want to stay together with their pre-Casa Amor partners or recouple with someone new.

In previous seasons, the highest number of Islanders to be dumped at once as been six.

‘Reuniting the two villas was explosive – the recoupling will be a real shock,’ a source told The Mirror.

‘The tension was off the scale – viewers will be really surprised as to who choses who.’

They added that it would be an ‘unmissable episode’.

It comes after Casa Amor lead to plenty of drama as several Islanders chose to betray their partners to pursue new people they had met in Casa Amor.

But perhaps the most unexpected actions came from farmer Will Young, 23, who shocked viewers by sharing a kiss with new girl Layla Al-Momani, 28, despite appearing to be happily coupled up with Jessie Wynter, 26.

Admitting to Layla that she could ‘turn my head’, Will went on to say that she brought out ‘a cheeky side in me… I feel like I gravitate towards you a bit’.

The pair then kissed before sharing a bed.

ITV has not commented on the speculation about the mass dumping.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
