After final night time’s Love Island left us with a cliffhanger, another couple has now been dumped from the villa, shocking the remaining islanders to the bone.
Wednesday night saw Catherine Agbaje and Elom Ahlijah-Wilson as the least compatible couple, forcing them to pack their bags and head to the airport.
But in true Love Island style, the drama didn’t end there, as three more couples were left vulnerable: Kady McDermott and Ouzy See, Leah Taylor and Montel McKenzie, and Jess Harding and Sammy Root.
Sadly, it was Leah and Montel who were also deemed incompatible, and they were dumped effective immediately.
When the news broke, their fellow islanders gasped and fell to their knees in shock, bursting into tears.
Viewers reacted to the news with mixed feelings.
“If Montel and Leah leave, this will officially be the most satisfying dump ever,” one person tweeted.
“I’ll be surprised if Montel and Leah don’t release a breakup statement by the end of this month, tbh,” wrote another.
However, one fan said, “Now tell me why I’m crying over Montel and Leah, I really love them.”
“Stripped montel and Leah are gone,” said another.
During their exit interview, Montel admitted that it was “bittersweet” to be dumped.
“It’s a bit disappointing with the way we left, but I’m happy because I’m leaving with Leah and a strong bond. It’s hard to be sad when I leave with her,’ he said.
He was full of praise for Leah, saying the couple “had a great journey.”
On what’s next for them, Montel stressed that they have “full intent to make things work.”
“We will try to see each other as much as possible,” he assured.
‘Being outside is obviously different from being in the villa, but we’ve had it pretty easy.
“Our stage of communication is excessive and we will get by something that comes our manner.”
Leah, in the meantime, was “shocked” by the general public selecting her and Montel as one of many least appropriate {couples}.
