Love Island’s winter 2023 series has brought us drama left, right and center so far, with Casa Amor sparking fireworks, brutal double dumpings, breakups and, of course, suspense and tears.

Especially from bombshell Claudia Fogarty about Casey O’Gorman – who continued to taunt him even after she got dumped from the villa.

And who could forget Movie Night, when Martin gleefully popped Akinola in popcorn while love rival Shaq Muhammad saw some Real happened between Martin and Tanya Manhenga.

For many of us, Love Island is the only thing that gets us through the long winter nights and we wish it could go on forever.

Sadly, the series will eventually have to end with two new Love Island champions being crowned.

But when exactly could that be? Let’s find out.

When does Winter Love Island 2023 end?

Host Maya Jama has confirmed the date – and it’s just around the corner.

In a post shared on social media, Maya, 28, said: ‘Guys, I have some very, very exciting news.

“The Love Island finale continues…drumroll please…Monday March 13 on ITV2 and ITVX.’

This means we have over a week to decide who we want to see walk out of the villa hand-in-hand as our 2023 Love Island champions.

How much is the prize money?

There’s £50,000 up for grabs.

Maybe Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga will walk away with the prize money, now that they are back together after her fling with Martin?

Or maybe farmer Will Young and Jessie Wynter – who forgave him after his Casa Amor antics – can win?

Both couples have gone all the way in The Hideaway, and Will and Jessie are the bookies’ favorites (at the time of publication).

Could it be bombshells Tom Clare and Samie Elishi, who now seem stronger than ever, despite what he did in Casa Amor?

Perhaps Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins can take home the money – after viewers bombshell attacked Rosie Seabrook for “twisting” Ron’s advice.

On the other hand, we can’t discount teacher Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan, despite the fact that he has scarred part of the country with his leopard print boxers and chocolate sauce.

Don’t worry about the series ending though, as it won’t be long before Love Island’s summer series hits our screens (probably sometime in June 2023).

This will be the first year that two episodes of Love Island have aired – so it will be on our screens for a whopping four months, or a third of 2023.

In 2020, the show’s first winter series was set to be followed by a summer series, but the latter was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

What happens in the Love Island final?

In the Love Island finale, the four remaining couples pour their hearts out to each other in romantic vows.

The results of the public vote are then revealed, in reverse order, from the fourth-place couple until the winning couple is revealed.

In previous series, the pair were then given the choice of splitting the £50,000 prize money between them or stealing it for themselves (which has never happened).

But in the last series this was dropped and the winners Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Saclimente were told that the prize money would be split between them.

Winter Love Island 2023 continues tonight at 9pm on ITVX.
