Is Love Island Again for Summer season? (Picture: ITV/Shutterstock)

Again in March 2023, Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan won the winter edition of Love Island.

The couple, who took home a whopping £50,000 together, are still together two months later, following in the footsteps of original winter winners Paige Turley and Finn Tapp.

Now that winter has turned into spring and the sun is starting to shine, a true Love Island fan is wondering if a summer series is in the cards for 2023.

Is it possible that the usual summer season comes so soon after the winter season?

Here’s what you need to know.

Will there be a summer Love Island in 2023?

All signs point to yes, it seems, for a Summer Love Island series in 2023.

If the latest rumours are to be believed, the 10th series of the popular ITV2 show will be back on TV in just a few weeks – with a rumored start date of Monday 5 June.

Since the first series in 2015, most of Love Island’s summer seasons have started between June 3 and June 7 – often the first Monday in June.

Exceptions are series two in 2016, which started at the end of May, and series seven in 2021, which started at the end of June.

Love Island 2023 is expected to run for eight weeks – so if the above start date is correct, it could air until the end of July this year.

Rumors are circulating about potential contestants, including the daughter of a Coronation Street star.

Maya Jama will definitely be back to host the show, after a successful debut during the winter series.

When did Love Island’s winter end?

Winter Love Island 2023 – or the ninth series of the show – started in January and ended in March 2023.

It was filmed in South Africa, rather than Majorca, and the final aired on March 13.

Fan favorite couple Kai and Sanam won the public vote and the cash prize.

Runners-up were Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins, and their fellow finalists were Samie Elishi and Tom Clare, and Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga.
