Within the kitchen, Hayes saved an unique sink from the chapel, then ordered customized cupboards to imitate the design of the entrance door. A stone veneer wall in the lounge references the outside, which options stone sourced from native farms.
“This constructing is an emblem of how New Canaan was,” says Hayes. “There are neighborhood church buildings throughout New England, and after they’re gone, they’re gone without end. It means loads to us that we are able to hold it, with these 4 unique exterior partitions.”
